From the '50s - "Marnie" w/ Ernest Borgnine (IIRC won the Academy Award for best picture.  Bunch of guys standing around saying "what do you want to do tonight?"  What a mind-numbing experience.

Also, American Ninja.

Ballistic : Ecks vs. Severs was absolutely heinous.  The only movie I've ever walked out on and got my money back for.

That movie was awful.  Truly, truly awful.  My date & I spent the whole movie sitting in the back row, whispering insults at it.

Slacker
Pretty Flamingos
The Thin Red Line
From Hell

I'm only counting movies I actually watched, not movies I only saw MSTied. Also only movies others haven't mentioned (with the exception of The Thin Red Bore, which was so mind numbing I couldn't leave it off the list despite the fact it's already been said. How many scenes of naked natives swimming can you possibly put in a movie?)

Andy Warhol's "Frankenstein".  Absolutely the worst movie I have ever seen.  And unfortunately, I've seen some stinkers.
"Solaris", with George Clooney is a close second.  Anything else with George Clooney would round out the list.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

All of the cheesy sci-fi movies shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

I had the severe displeasure of watching "About Schmidt" starring Jack Nicholson.  It got good reviews, but I thought it was horrible.

Gosh there are so many.  I have gotten videos out of the library and turned them off after 20 minutes.  Just the time spent watching them was too much of an investment.  I told my wife, when these came out people paid money to see them in theaters.
That said, the most memorable worst was one called "The Van" made about 1977.  The entire budget was spent on copyright for the song and destroying two "lay vans" (anyone old enough to remember what those are?).  Feh.

The English Patient was terrible.
Most of Woody Allen's later movies are terrible.

Air Force One. What happened to Gary Oldman, he used to be a great actor. I think this movie was the start of his decline.
Matrix Revolutions is pretty close in suckitude, though.

Okay at the risk of getting yelled at by all of the other females out there... Worst movie, to be specific high budget movie, that I've had to sit through (this is other then the 3 AM Sci Fi Channel B-C-etc Movies) was Titanic. I ABSOLUTELY hated that movie... I'm sorry but I had to laugh when leo's character died the scene was horribly snappy... other then that Matrix Revolutions was pretty high up there on the list... but after getting popcorn thrown at my head while laughing during the "extremely powerful" death scene.... umm The Cell with Jennifer Lopez was painful too... This is probably why I haven't seen a movie since the Incredibles...

Titanic was pretty bad, and the sappiness factor was unreal.  But it gave women with a fear of male secondary sex characteristics someone new to swoon over.   Tongue

Hollywod puts out tons of crap every year -- I can't argue with any that people have posted here as just terrible movies.

One of my all-time hated-it movies, and the one that makes it to the top of my list because, believe it or not, it was given an OSCAR as the best movie of the year, was "THE ENGLISH PATIENT".
Need to think of a good signature -- watch this space!

Ooh. I've seen that. That is one sucky movie. The worst part was, I got it because it was in a box set as a Danny DeVito movie. He is indeed in it, for about 20 seconds.

So many bad movies I've seen along the way, a product of going to law school while living alone, and having cable television but no video game system.

Why has no one said "Eyes Wide Shut" yet?  Sure, seeing Nicole Kidman topless has its benefits, but the rest?   Sure, Tom Cruise is walking around NYC, and can't even find a hooker willing to have sex with him.

All I kept think was "what kind of guns should he have under that cloak to get out of the mansion/sex party?"

I'm gonna throw mine in there and say "From Dusk Til Dawn".  I hated that movie.  After I watched it I thought, "That's an hour and half of my life I'll never get back."  It belongs to Tarantino.  Oh, and "They" by Wes Craven was pretty dumb too.

Nobody said Eyes Wide Shut cause we didn't want to admit to seeing it

For real Dusk 'til Dawn badness, watch the third one.  From my perspective the first one isn't that bad for two reasons.  The first and best is the lovely Salma Hayek.  The second is that Tarantino gets killed, and as far as I'm concerned that's okay.  Weird SOB.  My wife met him once in LA at a Chinese theater and she says he really is that creepy, it's not just an act.

I actually liked The Thin Red Line AND Lost in Translation.  Call me crazy...

I did walk out of the movie "Election" though...some of the most inane dialogue I've ever endured (until I walked out).

My wife loves Moulin Rouge and so do a lot of her friends but she can't get me to watch it.

One movie that a lot of people liked that I thought was utterly stupid was The Rock.  I think Michael Bay is a cheeseball in general though.

Lost in Translation was hysterical if you are married to a Japanese girl and see how they act

When i was in Thailand I met one of the most beautiful (tourist) girls I've ever seen, Hong Kong Chinese, perfect mix of tall Russian, English and Chinese.

In her pants-melting accent one night by the pool, she proceeded to rip on every other Asian ethnicity's ladies.

The Japanese girls "act the shy, but they are very, very dirty, with the sex".

I kept my eyes open on the way home, but apparently the "dirty with the sex" doesn't come out at the aitrport.
