I haven't performed the requisite proscribed behavior to have my body severed in twain, burned, and scattered.

To those who may suspect that last statement, you are probably correct in your thinking.

1.67 in Cedar Springs in W. Michigan.  1.79 10 miles south at Meijer in N. Grand Rapids.

The latest gig in Michigan is they want to take off the 19 cent flat tax per gallon and impose an 18% sales tax on whatever a gallon costs to raise road funds.  Personally, I like dirt roads.  And the Feds want a tax that equals out to what a gallon would cost at a 100.00 a bbl.  Actually, so what?  I heard a congress critter tell the financial whatsisface from Fox News on the radio this afternoon that any money we have doesn't belong to us anyway.

On Monday, it was 1.70 in Fredericksburg, 2.29 in Morgantown, WV, and 1.71 in Dayton, Oh.  Of course, Morgantown is where I had to stop for gas, and I had no idea beforehand that their prices were so much higher.

Just today we hit $1.99 here in town.  Took'em long enough.

I just heard on the radio that Missouri has the lowest gas prices in the nation.  At $1.69.   =|

It was 1.56, last night, in some areas.

We've just now dropped into the 180s at a couple of stations here in Fairfax. Most are still in the 190s, and quite a few are still over 200 a gallon.

Good thing  I work in MO!!!

I still laugh at my know-it-all coworker who said that gas would never be under $3 every time I pass a $1.55 sign...

People around here all insist that it will go back up to 3+. I see no reason why it should be any higher than it was 1-2 years ago, before the real bubble started.

1. supply is not down compared to what it was at that time; during the price bubble oil companies engaged in exploration etc.

2. People bought more fuel efficient cars and/or restructured their life around being more fuel efficiency, so I don't see why demand should be higher.

Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.
