Edited, so I can agree with it.
Not this again
I don't support the idea of disenfranchising those on welfare, but every time the idea comes up, APS insists on twisting it into something it's obviously not. It's idiotic, not to mention it's insulting to members of the military. Military pay and benefits are not welfare, nor a handout; and maybe if you equate the two, you should voluntarily refrain from voting, or commenting on the internet.
OK, not entirely serious about that last part. It's pretty bad when you say something so silly, this guy has to call you on it.
You are misrepresenting what I said. I didn't say members of the military are on welfare. I said all government employees should not be allowed to vote,
in addition to people on welfare. I would prefer members of the military vote, and just disenfranchise other gov employees (most of which are leftists) but feel the need to be consistent and strip them all of the vote... though I would make an exception, and not take the vote from draftees for obvious reasons.
Voting is not an enumerated constitutional right. Most states had limited franchise of some sort in the beginning. There should be no right to vote for people who voluntarily make a living from the government. Most government employees vote leftist, to give themselves more money and power. We have millions of these. They are screwing the country.
If you think this is a bad idea, that is fine.
(Oh, and I would be unable to vote under my plan)
