A tank for my Forester usually lasts 3 weeks or so since my basic daily commute is about 10 miles total. It would be less, but Seren's day care is in the opposite direction from my office, so that adds a couple of miles.

What's the latest on Seren's condition?  Has she improved any or just holding her own?

Seren's holding her own.

She's still in remission (we have her monthly oncology reassessment this afternoon).

She's doing OK with her arthritis, but the medication is messing with her stomach a bit. I have to rethink how I'm giving it to her. It's best given without food, but I'm going to have to start giving it with food.

The sad fact is my girl is getting older, and I can't protect her from time.

Well would you look at that...

Price of gas locally started slipping again...

Yesterday the Global hit $3.29 a gallon, then this morning...

WHAM!

Right back to $3.fucking49.

This has been going on like clockwork for the last couple of months. It's ridiculous.

The Wawa is still sitting at $3.32 a gallon right now, but I suspect when I stop by for my coffee tomorrow morning that will have been... "fixed."

$3.28 to $3.32 in this area right now.  That's a jump from $2.99-$3.05 a week or so ago.

On a trip into St. Louis today, I was able to gas up at a Waterway Gas & Wash in Clayton for $3.099.  It's at the intersections of I-64, I-170 (aka the "inner belt"), and Brentwood Blvd.
Most of the stations in the area of ILL-ANNOY where I live are still at $3.699.

OK, this is freaking weird...

This evening when I passed the Global on my way to pick Seren up?

It was back down to... $3.29.

Was that just a bump for the debates?

WTF?

Gov. "Jabba's" gas tax went into effect Monday, adding 2 cents more tax.  Then I see stations today that were $3.659 last Friday are now at $3.899/gal for regular.    [barf]

Price has been holding right around $3.29 - $3.35, depending on the station, even though the price of oil has been steadily creeping up the past few weeks.

Trump is definitely in cahoots with Big Oil to make Biden look bad.

I had to buy gas for the wife's Jeep yesterday (7/8) and paid 4.099 for midgrade. That is with a 10 cent per gallon discount. The diesel at the same place was 3.599.

That's weird.  Around here, it's the diesel that is higher.  I don't normally look at those prices but when gas went to $3.899, diesel was about $4.099 - IIRC.  [barf]

How dare they drain our strategic reserves! The Biden admin needs to get to the bottom of this fascist plot to hurt the American people!

Will be a MSNBC article in a day or two.

That has been the norm around here for the last few years also, but as we are now living in bizarro world I just take it as it comes.
