But some on the dem side are realizing they may have made a whoopsy but I doubt pardoning him would reverse what it's done for his election. Hopefully the right has heard the message loud and clear and not forget like they frustratingly so often do.

As much as I have complained about Trump always acting like a teenage girl with hurt feelings everytime someone says something bad about him, I gotta give him credit for being a man about this conviction. I've been watching snippets of a Fox and Friends interview he did this morning, and they were asking him what he'd do if they put him under house arrest or tossed him in prison, and he responded like a boss, basically saying "IDGAF".

Most of the rest of the interview showed a similar demeanor. I gotta say that I like "Outlaw Trump". It might be a PR strategy, but it's a much better one than "teenage girl with hurt feelings". 

In fact, I got an "UltraMAGA" tshirt right after the Brandon admin thought they could turn that into a dirty word, and was wearing that tshirt a lot. Until Trump went on a longer term "mean girl" phase again, which made me embarrassed to wear it. If he keeps being Outlaw Trump, I'll have to dig the shirt out again.

Are they going to try to get him thrown into jail before he can be nominated or after? I can't see them walking away from this now that they're in this this far.
Are they going to come up with some other issue to prosecute him over and fast track it?

Beyond stuff like that I'm seriously worried what the more radical members of the left may be planning considering they got people whipped up he's the devil. Sorry Hitler, the devil is a misunderstood hero to many on the left.

Well, IMO, it's too late for them to say "oops" and toss it all into the background. I think all they can do is double down in hopes of a hail mary, but I'm not sure what that would be. I think at this point Trump is almost hoping for prison for the continued positive optics for him.

These knuckleheads spent way too much time polling their bubble. They expected Trump's base and all of us small government extremists to get riled up, but I think they never expected that independents and democrats would side with Trump because of the trial and verdict. Or, rather than side with Trump, side against the banana republic. A bunch of Trump haters are going to vote for Trump now. A bunch more are definitely not voting for Biden.

I think one thing the Republican machine should do is move forward with the plan to move the convention up and nominate Trump on July 4th.

Good question but in recent days the first group probably hasn't changed all that much while the latter, we can hope, has grown considerably. How they compare right now IDK.

That's certainly nebulous at this point. Polls are polls, but the only one I've seen so far has said "one in ten Trump voters are now not voting for him". If accurate, I don't know how that compares to Democrats staying home, or the somewhat new breed of "Tulsi Gabbard" voters that are voting for Trump as a statement against the state (or for spite).

Honestly, at this point, my vote for Trump will be 50% for Trump and the other 50% a combination of spite and protest against the banana republic.

Ben, some of the things I have been reading and hearing agrees with the bold part above.  I think that more people than the "dims" realized have seen this as a repudiation of American standards.  This not only makes them concerned (afraid?) for themselves but for the future as well.  More people are cognizant of how (and how badly) this could boomerang back on them. 
I hope and pray they are "right".

That last part is why I am reluctant to believe that poll result.  Trump's voter base is largely motivated by the fact that he is a political outsider.  Then there is the cult of personality side of things.  Neither of those should be affected by the conviction.
